Location Lead
LOCATION LEAD

This role consists of collecting donations at 1-2 locations and bringing them to the Warehouse.
-
Must have your own vehicle.
-
Pickups may be required daily, every few days or weekly.
-
Deliver donated items to Warehouse and place in marked areas for sorting.
-
Warehouse is open Monday – Friday 10-4 pm. Warehouse will also be open on the weekends for designated sorting events.
-
This lead is also responsible for removing the donation bin and returning to the warehouse on donation deadline day.

Depot Captain
DEPOT CAPTAIN
-
This role is for Monday to Friday warehouse supervision.
-
Each depot captain will be assigned a day or morning/afternoon for the entire campaign.
-
Act in a lead role for drop in volunteers.
-
Ensure warehouse stays orderly – sweep if needed, empty garbage and recycling as needed.
-
Random expiry checks on items already sorted. Review items in “Please check” box.
-
Complete count sheets as posted.
-
Package items that are intended to be redirected to other organizations. (food bank, teen centre, etc)
-
Close up warehouse on designated day by 4:00 – 4:30 pm.

SORTER ELF
-
All sorters must attend a sorter training session and be at least 14 years of age.
-
Come to warehouse when available to sort toys and food.
-
(Warehouse hours: 10 – 4 pm Mon – Friday)
-
Assist in counts and duties at the warehouse as posted.
-
*Saturday and Sunday Mass Sorting Events require online signup.
Sorter Elf

SPECIAL EVENT ELF
-
Assist at special events doing a variety of tasks.
-
Eg. Brighten up Beaumont, BBQ, Xmas Markets

Special Events Elf

GENERAL HELP ELF
-
Warehouse work – Must be at least 14 years of age.
-
Assist in Warehouse Set Up and Take down.

Help pack food and household hampers.
-
Transport items to other associations.
-
Assist with collections if requested.

We are always looking for board members to join the Beaumont Nisku Christmas Elves Society. If you are interested bringing joy to our wonderful community and families who need it most during the holiday season, consider joining. You won't be disappointed.
We are looking to fill the following vacancies:

Campaign Coordinator
What you'll be doing ...
-
Coordinating activities during the Christmas campaign season reports directly to the Board.

Organize time schedules for volunteers and placement and pick up of hampers and collection boxes
-
Collaborate with schools, businesses and community organizations during donation collection period
-
Liaise with FCSS for up to date referrals and appropriate paperwork and coordinates with fire department for hamper deliveries
-
Place food, gift cards orders and arrange pick up from local grocers

Directors at Large
What you'll be doing ...

Work closely with the Business Relations Director organizing events

Voting member of Society
-
Must be present at all board meetings to establish quorum

Adhere to Society bylaws
-
May be from time to time be assigned responsibility by the board to head up or assist with a sub-committee

Board Chairperson
What you'll be doing ...
-
Chair all Society board meetings; oversee all duties as directed by the bylaws of the Society

Coordinate the planning of the activities for the year ahead and plans for the Society’s future. In this capacity, the Chair is responsible for ensuring that an ongoing planning process exists for the Society

Lead/participate in campaign/community events
-
Ensure that all reports are presented at Society board meetings
